Nothing much else

I just finished packing. I hope. I'm going to New York tomorrow with Shannon, Scott, Rodney, and Ivy. I'll be there for seven days. We'll be staying here, I think. It'll be my first time staying somewhere in Manhattan other than the Soho Grand. I like the Grand, especially the goldfish you can order from room service (not to eat, you see, but to keep as your temporary pet), but I also like the idea of a room that looks like a ship's cabin. It reminds me of a hotel in Stockholm, where I stayed when I was twelve and first read Moominpapa at Sea. I can't remember its name now. The room keys were engraved with sailing ships.

There are calls I meant to make before leaving. I feel guilty about not making them. I seem to be working very hard at solidifying my reputation as a flake. Well done, me.

I'll try to post from NY.
