Got to be a million

I wrote a post earlier but Blogger erased it. It had to do with eagles and a dead car.

I had dinner tonight with my dad. We drove down to the restaurant listening to the soundtrack from Superfly, for some reason. I'm your mama. I'm your papa. I'm that nigger in the alley. He's obsessed with Curtis Mayfield, against all odds, and he slowed his car down to point out what he thinks is an abandoned crack mansion on Granville St. I'm your pusher man!

Anyway. I'm supposed to be working. To be making myself work. I have this rewrite to do. Eventually. Um.

Stupid Blogger.

Edit: Oh. My earlier post worked. NEVERMIND BLOGGER I LOVE YOU.

Sachi - I'm in "intro to non-fiction", which was the only non-major course offered this year. My prof is Andreas Schroder.

Kimi - When will I get to see the Kimi? I'm not doing NOTHIN' on sunday. Why why?

So what sort of things are you writing?

Why don't you go to the AWP conference too? I think student registration is $45.

At least look at it. There's some ok speakers, including Anne Carson,
Ursula Le Guin, Alistair MacLeod, Michael Ondaatje... And there'll be a whole parade of US writing programs there in case you ever felt like doing an MFA somewhere.
And opportunities to schmooze in general.

And a bookfair, which will be fun.

And me.
