Rodney's opening last night was huge and overwhelmingly crowded. But good. I talked to more family friends/acquaintances than I had the night before and felt redeemed. Marc's friends from North Van were there, too, it was that popular. I can't get over how popular it was. The line went around the block of the VAG as it kept moving, maintaining its length for the 45 minutes it took us to get in. Ivy was there, in her tweed coat and tutu of grey tulle. I spent about 3 seconds with her the whole night, which was fine. I couldn't keep up with her anyway. There wasn't really any way to see the art, through all the people, but I'll go again when the fuss has died down a little and look closer. Seriously this time.
I just saw Hotel Rwanda with Marc, (do I need to add that, "with Marc"?) and it was great. I really thought it was well done. I recommend it, if you feel up to a movie about genocide. It has Nick Nolte in it. Eh Narns? Remember The Hulk? Yeah. He's cleaner in this. Slightly.
I need to buy dog food (with Marc) before the store closes. Hot damn.
