The fan on low

Canada Day. Or it was, until five minutes ago.

I could hear the sound of my dog's tail thumping beneath my roll-top desk, earlier, and I wondered what she could be dreaming about that made her so happy. I mean, pleased. Then I looked under the desk and she wasn't there, and I realized it was the sound of fireworks coming through my open window. From far away.

And my left shoulder has a sunburn. Mild, but sore. Why is it always my left?

In any case, I've uploaded some more photos as proof of life.

I took a whole other set today, actually, but I'm too tired to bother with them now. Because it's exhausting. All this sun and nothing.

Edit: The more recent bunch of photos are up here. They're fairly dull, (I'm not going to lie to you), but at least they have the potential to have accidentally captured more interesting things going on in the background, like in Blow Up, that movie about the mimes and sexy little pants.

The loverman and I went down to Kits for Kibune (where the waitress refused to talk to me about MY order being screwed up, but instead spoke to Patrick. No matter how hard he tried to get her to tell me about the problem, she refused!) and it was a meat market. And then I remembered not only was it Saturday, but also Canada day. And then we attempted to go hang out a Jericho beach but I refused on account of the rave music boom boom booming across the land.

I heart lurking. But it's mainly the very top of my shoulder that gets burned, and the sun in my car reaches only my upper arm. Curious and more curious still!
