I'm still dizzy, can you believe that? Marc? Marian? I'm still dizzy.
I should never drink wine. I obviously can't handle it. I'm on too many crazy prescription drugs to drink wine and get away with it. Being a little drunk is fine by me, but starting to sober up at the end of the night and THEN having vertigo set in? That's just unsettling. Plus, I'm still dizzy.
I never got out of my pajamas today. I was dizzily lazy. I slept and watched season five of the Sopranos. I ate chocolate and pastries. Not that there was anything left over from the catering, but some people brought gifts that were stashed in the kitchen, and luckily, some of the gifts were edible. I also made ramen.
The party was nice. Some of the people I looked forward to seeing didn't show, but most did, and it was funny to see Marian and Marc interacting with Tara and Emily and other, less familiar friends of the family. At one point, my mum knocked a glass of Marian's red wine from my hand and it got onto the skirt I was wearing, which Shannon had just leant me, and the shirt, which Shannon had just given me, and there was much running around with ice cubes and soda water to try and save them. A gay friend of my mother's had a whole system of napkin dabbing that he said he'd picked up through being a stylist in the film industry. Half the party suggested using boiling water while the other half swore against it. I felt well taken care of.
Anyway, I wish Kimi and Sachiko could have come. And Mercedes! And everyone! There are a few photos below. I must go now and drink 4 liters of water. Work tomorrow.

I actually wrote "Kimi and Sachi" but then I changed it. I like alternating the Sachi and Sachiko once in a while! The formal Sachiko is pretty! Plus, I first knew you as Sachiko, through Marian, for quite a while before you became Sachi. So Sachiko comes to mind more easily than Kimiko, as Kimi was always Kimi. Right? That makes sense.
Yes, this is what I thought. Either that or you're better friends with Kimi now and you're trying to put me at a distance through the cooly formal Sachiko.
Sniff. Montreal is a lonely place. No one even comes close to saying my name right here.
