Prognosis: Good

Happy had a partial seizure tonight. It scared the hell out of me - I didn't know what it was - but she came out of it quickly and was entirely back to normal in about an hour. I'm too exhausted to describe what happened in detail, but I took her to the 24 hour Animal Hospital and they did blood work and gave her charcoal (in case she ate something toxic, which was my biggest fear but seems unlikely given that she got better on her own), before sending her home with me. I'll know more tomorrow when I hear the test results. Apparently it's hard to narrow down what causes seizures in dogs. It could be many different things, and only one of them is epilepsy. And it wasn't even a full-on seizure. She never lost consciousness. She just started running into things. She pissed on the floor and her legs went all wrong. Like I said, it scared the hell out of me. Now I'm going to go back to reading Harry Potter and hug my dog about three thousand times. Goodnight.
