Professional logic

I'm beat. I wandered around Gastown today with Marc and kept running into great stuff, like a hand knit scarf I wouldn't wear enough to justify buying, and a Japanese dog magazine written in a language I can't understand. But oh, that was a great magazine. You should have seen it. And then I ended up spending a lot of money anyway, after all my resistance, on a couple of shirts at Block. More articles of clothing I'm afraid to submit to the chaos of my household's laundry scheme. But it's satisfying to have bought clothes, in any case. I tend to be really reluctant about getting out and doing that, though when it comes to buying books, toys, videogames, dvds, and records, I have, um, less antipathy. As you know.

Then to Yaletown, where Urban Buffet was closed, cruel fate, so we ate at Milestones, where Marc, ridiculously, has a massive amount of credit. It's ridiculous, I mean, because the atmosphere is rather awfully suck, at Milestones, and makes me feel like an alien. Like I did in highschool. But it was free, which was very nice, and we escaped the area before the clubbing kids arrived in droves.

After The Animation Show at the Ridge, and after I'd driven back home from Marc's place, I found the shirt Narns had nicely left in my room for me. I'd forgotten about it, and just finished saying to my mother "But you know, I hadn't bought any clothes for a long time", when she asked me what the bag from Narcissist was. Unh. A shirt I bought. Geez maw. Spaz.

It was so weird, dropping off that shirt. Your mother said that you and Marc were upstairs, but upstairs was utterly noiseless. At one point I imagined (I must have) a muffled conversation somewhere. I pretty much put the shirt on the chair and ran for my life.

Did you see the Aveda store? That's where it all goes down for me.

Sometimes when I eat at Milestones, the food will remain unscathed by my gastric juices for hours. It was rather alarming.

Is the Urban Buffet good? Tell me about it. Why does Marc have Milestone's [sic] credit?

All this talk about clothes is driving me crazy with lust.

And I like the image of Marian, shirt-delivery-girl, creeping through your house.

My dad is a manager for BC Hydro, and he gets some promotional stuff to give to his underlings. They include Famous Players "Nite Out" coupons for two movie tickets, two drink, and popcorn (which I love, cause it saves you about $100), and Milestone's giftcards. $50 Value. I have used about three so far, and have two more semi-filled ones. They are useful.

Urban Buffet is on the edge of Yaletown, and it's a big buffet for something like $10. You can get chinese food, sushi, corn-on-the-cob, McCain Mini Pizzas, and other randomness. One truly feels urban, buffeting there.
