I got one of my long-awaited packages today. Unfortunately, it's Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, which I don't want to play on my ugly, obsolete GBA... but my new one hasn't come yet. So it's posing "mint in box!" on my shelf. Listen to this description from the back of the box: Link gets reinforcements! Fly, swim and jump to new heights with all-new characters like Moosh the winged bear, Ricky the marsupial, and Dimitri the Dodongo!
Jesus god. Ricky the marsupial? I have to say, I'm a little worried about old Ricky. What kind of marsupial is he, exactly? And marsupials, in general, aren't the mightiest bunch. I mean, sure, isolated on a couple of islands with no competition, they're fine. But go ahead and introduce a few ass-kicking mammals like sheep and dingoes... I mean, I hope Ricky will be able to handle the MILD VIOLENCE I'm told is in this game, that's all.
Anyway, I have to get a new Canadian passport today. I haven't bothered renewing my American one for years. Maybe I can pretend that's a statement about the Bush administration. I don't even wanna be a part of that country now!
I'm so lazy.

Poor Ricky. At least nobody's programmed him into the Resident Evil series. Yet.
Come to think of it, I'll take whatever reinforcements I can get, in Rezzy. Sassy president's daughter, Ricky the marsupial, you name it.
If you don't want it, send it to me and I'll test drive it for you, on my already-obsolete GBA. Which I haven't touched since I got here, which is good because I am already about five hundred pages behind in my readings.
